Description
Our words, our stories, have great power. In the Humans of Oshkosh, the book, you will find true stories of love and war, hope and despair, life and death, and everything in between. Humans of Oshkosh, the book, is a collection of stories that have appeared in the Humans of Oshkosh storytelling blog (www.humansofoshkosh.com). Humans of Oshkosh is produced by students at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. The student storytellers, enrolled in the Interdisciplinary Studies course "Telling Stories for Fun, Profit and World Peace" class, taught by Grace Lim, connected with people from all walks of life, learned about them through the stories they shared. The book also contains the student storytellers’ reflections on their encounters with the people in their community. (Humans of Oshkosh is inspired by Humans of New York, which was started by Brandon Stanton in 2010.)
